Aunt Lori’s Fu Fu Salad

Do not fear the seasoning packet. Natural foods store sell ramen noodles without all the additives and msg.

    Ingredients for the dressing
  • 16 oz shredded red and green cabbage
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • ½ c slivered almonds
  • ½ c sunflower seeds

    Procedure
  1. Toast the sunflowers seeds and almonds in a hot skillet. When lightly browned, remove from heat, set aside to let cool.
  2. Whisk together the sugar, oil, rice vinegar, garlic powder, pepper and seasoning packet.
  3. Toss the cabbage in the oil sugar mixture.
  4. Serve in a large bowl, garnish with the green onions and the uncooked ramen noodles.
