New Amsterdam Public to put on another “Market Meeting”
The locavore market advocates at New Amsterdam Public are producing a follow up to the highly successful Winter Market held in December. This “Market Meeting” will be on June 29th. These folks support converting the old Fulton Fish Market into a year round Regional Foodstuffs bazaar. While these intrepid souls jump through the hoops of bureaucracy to bring downtown New York some local goods, Stonehouse has a nice stable of delicious items carefully crafted in the region. Cure your localvore urgings with
Stonehouse Partners with Norwich Meadows Farm
For this year’s growing season, Stonehouse is proud to announce that the Front Street store will be the downtown drop off point for Norwich Meadows Farm’s CSA.
This outfit is rock solid, producing a wide variety of Organic fruits, Organic vegetables and other items such as Organic eggs. As interest in the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) concept is on the rise, our allotted number of slots for a weekly share of farm fresh produce filled up in record time! To be put on the alternate list, email us at nyc@stonehouseoliveoil.com. But even if the CSA remains full, Stonehouse will be procuring many additional locally produced goods for sale to the general public through our relationships with upstate farmers. Look for Thursdays, the drop off day for the CSA, to become a miniature Farmer’s Market with locally crafted goods and the best Butter and Yogurt you will ever have from Evan’s Dairy Farm.
